Elon Musk has backed away from his extraordinary claim that President Donald Trump was implicated in 'the Epstein files.'
As the commander-in-chief and the X boss battled it out in a war of the words over social media, Musk said on Thursday 'it was time to drop a really big bomb.'
In doing so he, posted: '@RealDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.
'Have a nice day, DJT!'
The post recently disappeared from his X profile, and Musk appeared to backtrack on some of the remarks he made against Trump during their war of the words this week.
