Iraq is taking hurried steps to minimize power shortages amid rising temperatures. The government has signed an agreement to double the electricity supplies it receives from Turkey and has contracted a Turkish firm to deploy power ships with a generation capacity of 650 megawatts, while continuing to eye LNG imports.
