Donald Trump will hold a phone call with Elon Musk on Friday, signalling signs of a possible truce between the two men after their explosive fallout.
The US president downplayed his public argument with the tech billionaire in a late-night phone interview with Politico.
“Oh, it’s okay,” he said when asked about the rift. “It’s going very well, never done better.”
Relations between Mr Trump and Mr Musk have soured in recent days over the president’s tax and spending bill, resulting in an argument that ended with Mr Musk calling for Mr Trump’s impeachment.
But the Tesla owner also appeared agreeable to a truce on Thursday evening, responding to Bill Ackman’s attempt to ease tensions.
