A man described by police as a "social media prankster" was arrested in Long Island after he allegedly posted multiple videos of himself dumping food on his head at businesses and homes, before running away without cleaning up his mess.

Kyle Vazquez, 21, was arrested at a friend's home in Centereach, New York, in connection with the videos he uploaded on a social media account, according to a Suffolk County Police Department news release. He was charged with six counts of recording people without their consent and two counts of criminal tampering, CBS and ABC News reported.

Police accused the man of dumping a large container of eggs on his head in front of the Ralph’s Italian Ice in Centereach on the night of April 29. He fled the scene in a vehicle, leaving both eggs and shells at the business's entrance and front door, Suffolk County police said.

Vazquez allegedly recorded the incident on a social media page, where police found more videos of similar pranks at different locations.

USA TODAY has reached out to the law firm representing Vazquez for comment on Thursday, June 5, but has not received a response.
