Some 286 people have died in work-related accidents in the first four months of 2025, workplace accident insurance agency INAIL said Thursday.
Some 207 people have died on the job, three more than the 204 in the same period last year, a rise of 1.5%, while 79 have died on the way to work, 18 up on last year, a gain of 29.5%, INAIL said.
The spate of deaths has spurred government action.
