A30-year-old man who died in Pescara on Tuesday after police tasered him was not killed by the use of the taser, according to the report of an autopsy released by prosecutors in the Adriatic city on Thursday.
It said the death was caused by internal bleeding linked to a "closed chest trauma" and that "the use of the taser by police personnel played no role in determining the death".
The man had resisted police and been tasered after being picked up after a fight in the street, police said.
