A husband has been jailed for life for murdering his wife and hiding her body under the stairs of their home.
Richard Satchwell, 58, denied murdering Tina Satchwell between March 19 and March 20, 2017.
But last Friday, the jury at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin delivered a unanimous guilty verdict after nine hours and 28 minutes of deliberation.
At the sentencing hearing today, the victim's family described her as a kind and gentle woman who loved animals.
Tina's cousin, Sarah Howard, said she was murdered 'by someone who claimed to love her.'
