A British woman has plunged to her death in a fall from a 25ft high Phuket hotel walkway in the second tourist horror to rock Thailand in just days.The 58-year-old was returning to her room after a night out with her partner on the holiday island in the early hours of June 4 before disaster struck.The tragedy comes as a fellow UK tourist found dead on a beach in another area of the country - the party island of Koh Phangan - earlier this week has been named as Alison Stuart.In the most recent tragedy, the unidentified hotel guest was said to have downed several drinks before walking up the outdoor stairway to her room.However, she was said to have lost her balance and tumbled off the edge of the walkway.The holidaymaker fell onto a corridor some 25ft below. She was still breathing when found by hotel staff, who called emergency services for help.Medics said the woman suffered fractures on her neck and limbs, as well as severe facial bruising. We learned that she was returning after having a meal with her partner at a restaurant and may have had a few drinks.'They arrived at the hotel and she went up to the room while the man went elsewhere. When she was walking up the stairway, the security camera captured her going up alone, but it did not record the moment she fell.'That stairway did not have a railing, and she plunged from the fifth floor to the second floor. When a hotel employee found her, they informed her partner and rescue workers. The rescue team then informed the police.'As for the cause, she might have fallen due to being drunk. We do not have the blood alcohol test result, so we cannot confirm yet. 'We have already contacted the embassy.' We will call the British Embassy to notify her relatives.'The woman's body had been discovered by local villager Theerapong while walking at 6.30am.Authorities said the woman had been staying at a nearby bungalow for around a month.She was due to check out on June 11, a day after the island's infamous Full Moon Party.Staff claimed she was often seen drinking alcohol during her stay.On June 2, she reportedly struck her head after tripping outside a convenience store.Good Samaritans helped her walk back to her room when she refused to seek medical attention.She was reportedly last seen swimming at the beach on Monday evening before her body was found.
