CNN’s Jake Tapper said Monday that the alleged cover-up of ex-President Joe Biden’s decline “may be worse than Watergate.” (Watch the video below.)
Tapper, co-author of the bestselling “Original Sin” about efforts by Biden’s allies to conceal his aging before and during the 2024 campaign, made the startling claim on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
Morgan sparked the exchange by referring to a book excerpt saying that “Joe Biden is not Richard Nixon. The hiding and the cover-up of his deterioration is not Watergate.”
“Um, I’m not entirely sure I agree, Jake, with that conclusion,” Morgan said.
“The next line is, ‘It is an entirely separate scandal,’” Tapper replied. “It is a scandal. It is without question and maybe even worse than Watergate in some ways, because Richard Nixon was in control of his faculties when he wasn’t drinking.”
