May 26 (UPI) -- A British man was arrested after driving into and injuring dozens of soccer fans who were attending the Liverpool Football Club's victory parade on Monday evening.

A total of 47 people were injured and 27 were taken to local hospitals for treatment in what law enforcement has said was not an act of terrorism, The Guardian reported.

Twenty were treated for minor injuries at the scene, and two of those taken to hospitals were seriously injured. A child was one of those who suffered serious injuries.

A total of four children were among the 47 who were injured. No fatalities have been reported.
