The builder behind a viral TikTok video falsely claiming a woman's driveway was ripped up over an unpaid bill says he has now lost his job – and admits he only has himself to blame.
Alex Gray told MailOnline he had 'more than learned his lesson' after sparking outrage with a stunt that was viewed almost one million times.
The now-deleted clip showed workers from Kendall Contractors Ltd appearing to tear up a tarmac drive in Leeds, West Yorkshire, with the caption: 'Can't pay? We'll take it away.'
But the woman who owns the home - and who had paid her £3,800 bill in full last year - was left devastated by the video, which falsely painted her as a bill-dodger.
Mr Gray, who posted the clip on TikTok, revealed he had walked away from the Leeds-based groundworks firm and accepted 'full responsibility'.
