Three men have died and two others have been arrested following a two-car collision in a Nottinghamshire village.

Emergency services were called to the scene at Cotgrave Road, Tollerton at around 11pm on Thursday, May 22.

The driver of a vehicle, a 23-year-old man and two male passengers aged 19 and 21, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men in another car, a 26-year-old driver - who has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries - and his passenger aged 20 have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Sergeant Mark Baker of Nottinghamshire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: 'Three men have tragically lost their lives following this incident and our thoughts are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
