Cop who murdered his wife shot daughter 'as she protected her mum'

A police sergeant who murdered his wife accidentally shot their 10-year-old daughter as she reportedly tried to protect her mother.

Amanda Fernandes Carvalho was killed by her husband, Samir do Nascimento Rodrigues de Carvalho, on May 7.

He shot her three times and then stabbed her 51 times, which killed the mother at the scene at the clinic in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The autopsy report, seen by local media G1, found most of the stab wounds hit the right side of the entrepreneur's body, with blows to the thigh and the face.

Heartbreakingly, the couple's 10-year-old daughter was also shot as she tried to protect her mother from the horrific attack.
