Miley Cyrus frequently appears to dance to the beat of her own drum, but revealed in an interview Wednesday that the creative direction of her upcoming musical film was irrevocably altered after a brief chat — with none other than Harrison Ford.

Cyrus recently sat down on “The Zane Lowe Show” and shed some light on the musical short, which is set to premiere in June as a visual companion to her album, “Something Beautiful,” dropping May 30, and shared Ford’s reaction to her initial plans for the film.

“I’ve known Harrison Ford for quite a while, just growing up in Disney, and been in the same circles,” Cyrus told Lowe. “And he goes, ‘So what are you up to? Are you in the studio making an album or what are you doing?’ I said, ‘Well, I have an idea … I could show you.’”

“I show him my idea of ‘Somewhere Beautiful,’ which is performing in all the forests and at the pyramids and all these things,” she added. “He goes, ‘You really want to go and set up in a forest? And do what?’ He’s like, ’You going to bring a crew? … ‘Looks expensive.’”

This was apparently all the Grammy winner needed to hear in order to fully reassess things.
