Two Israeli diplomats have been shot dead outside a museum in Washington DC.
The victims, one man and one woman, were employees at the Israeli embassy in the US capital and were killed after attending an event at the Capital Jewish Museum.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the deaths in a post on X after the shooting outside the museum, which is located steps away from the FBI’s field office and the US attorney’s office, in the Northwest of the nation’s capital.

“Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC,” Noem wrote.
