Dolly Parton has been working “9 to 5” to get this sequel to see the light of day.
The country legend spoke to HuffPost on Wednesday about her new line of frozen foods and also touched on Jennifer Aniston’s forthcoming remake of “9 to 5.”
“Jane [Fonda], Lily [Tomlin] and I have been trying for years to try to come up with a ‘9 to 5: Two’ through the years,” Parton told HuffPost. “It never happened.”
Despite not being able to make a sequel with the three original stars, Parton said that “in Jennifer’s story, they wanted us to be involved in it somehow” but she’s not sure if that’s happening.
“But I love Jennifer. I think it’ll be a wonderful thing,” she said.
