Pressure was heaped on Kemi Badenoch today as a poll showed the Tories slumping into fourth place.
YouGov research found the Conservatives were on just 16 per cent support, down two points over the past week.
That was behind the Lib Dems, who were up one on 17 per cent. It is the first time since 2019 that the Tories have been in fourth place.
Meanwhile, Reform had a commanding seven-point lead over Labour with 29 per cent support.
That would be enough to give Nigel Farage a stable Commons majority of 42 at a general election, according to projections by Electoral Calculus.
