Aerospace, art, culture and many occasions promoting the most attractive aspects of the territory, a fertile environment for investors from Japan and beyond, were at the centre of events organized during the regional week dedicated to Puglia that has wrapped up at Expo 2025 Osaka.
"We tried to talk about ourselves, through the best of our excellence" during the week, explained Francesca Zampano, Manager of the Puglia Region's section for the promotion of trade, craftsmanship and the internationalization of businesses.
Regional excellence embraces a variety of sectors, "from wine and food with the best IGP (protected geographical indication) products", to "tastings studied to present the most significant products of our land", she explained.
It includes the region's "artistic and cultural tradition", continued Zampano, with "the great figure and career of Pino Pascali" described through an immersive and multimedia experience.
And the installation '9 square metres of puddles' brought to Expo "contemporary Arte Povera", poor art, in a context in which the artist from Puglia dialogues with Leonardo da Vinci, Tintoretto and Caravaggio: "A great satisfaction for us", stressed Zampano.
