Police are hunting for a knifeman after five people were stabbed at a party in south east London.

Officers were called to the attack in Nathan Way in Thamesmead, south east London, in the early hours of this morning.

Five people had been stabbed and remain hospital, where their injuries are being assessed.

A spokesperson for the Met said: 'Officers are investigating an incident in Thamesmead this morning, where five people were seriously assaulted.

'Police were called at 4.19am on Saturday, 17 May, to Nathan Way, SE28 following reports of multiple people injured at an event.
