The father of a young firefighter who died in the fire at a former RAF base in Bicester has thanked wellwishers for their tributes to his 'real life super hero' daughter.
Firefighter Jennie Logan, 30, died alongside her colleague and Martyn Sadler, 38, and business owner David Chester, 57, after explosions were heard at Bicester Motion on Thursday.
Both firefighters worked at Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (OFRS) and Mr Sadler was also part of the London Fire Brigade. Two further OFRS firefighters suffered serious injuries and are in hospital.
Firefighters were called at around 6.40pm on Thursday, with ten fire engines required to battle to bring the blaze under control throughout the night.
It is understood Ms Logan was a retained firefighter for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue, meaning she was on-call and ready to respond rather than a full-time employee. A love of dogs, she had ten years experience in canine businesses and offered dog-walking, home visits and day care.
