President Donald Trump on Friday asked if an under-construction soccer stadium in Queens, New York, would be available for the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028, kicking up a round of mockery on social media. (Watch the video below.)

“That’s going to be a hella long commute from L.A.,” one observer snarked.

“He’s such an idiot!” wrote another.

At a stop in Abu Dhabi, an official showed the president a rendering of Etihad Park for the New York City FC team of Major League Soccer. (Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates.)

Trump noted that he grew up in Queens and knows the area well. He said the site was “where they used to fix the cars and a lot of other things got fixed there.”
