Thursday is shaping up to be the most seismic general election in a quarter of a century.

Brits will wake up fresh on Friday morning to a clear result, with as Keir Starmer could have claimed victory and Rishi Sunak admitted defeat - or visa versa - before the sun rises.

So whether you are a politico or just want to see who is to become your next MP, you'll need to make sure you have plenty of coffee and biscuits to see you through the night - or just set an alarm.

After polling stations close at 10pm on July 4, the counting process begins in 650 constituencies across the UK. The first seats to be announced will be around midnight, and the last around 6am, if everything goes to plan.

The crunch time will be between 3am and 4am when the bulk of the results will flood in. And with Rishi Sunak's seat of Richmond and Northallerton due to be declared at 4am, this could be the moment when he conceded the election to Labour - and in a worst-case scenario loses his own seat.
